Soggy Morning

Good Morning. We are getting some rain right now that way we can have a hot and humid day. We are suppose to have a 60% chance of rain today. Fat chance....we were suppose to have that yesterday . But I would say it was more like 30%. The weather guys pretty much stink at there job around this part of the country.

I'm waiting for district office to open so I can go and get my name tag for the school year. I hate taking picutres! You never come out looking like you should. Good thing it will be a head shot. Heh. That way I can scare all the little kiddies. No doubt I will be asked over and over again how tall are you? How did you get so tall? I usually tell them I ate my veggies when I was little and they look at me and tell me they don't like them. Oh well. I like the first day of school. I like to watch the parents who clutch on to their children when it is time for them to leave.They usually cluster around the door window to watch to see if their child will be okay when they leave. Usually they do just fine. Last year I had one little boy sobbing while hugging my knees.I asked him if he was a knee hugger. Of course I didn't get a answer. Anyway... I was standing next to his desk and I feel this grasp around my knees then the sobs starting then the wails of I want my mommy. I finally was able to get him to let go so I could get down to his level and make him understand that he would be okay and we were going hunting for the Gingerbread man. What is that? I told him it was a story that ended up with a hunt in the hallways of the school. Then at the end he would get a surprise. He liked that idea and had a great first day. I have worked with this teacher in kinder for the past 3 years on the first day . Then from there I move around the school for the day.

I guess the price of gas will be going up due to the Alaska pipeline shutting down. Just when you think gas will stay at a decent price.OOHH the gas pains... I wish the hubby would have never bought the gas hog . It kills me to fill that thing up.

Well they finally delivered the paper. So I'm off to go and fetch it.
