It has been a long day. I finally got my Halloween decorations up along with some fall items. On the way home my daughter drops the bomb about how she will be running for reporter for Student Council. I'm like what did you say??? The speech, poster, and forms have to be turned in tomorrow. Well I decided today that I wanted to run. I had asked her last week if she would be running so we could get everything done. No was the response because she didn't want to speak in front of the 3rd ,4th and 5th grades. Fine by me until this evening. So now all is done except for the tags that say Vote for me ....Each 3rd,4th and 5th grader gets one. All the kids look like bumpers with stickers on them for the day. The ones that run for office have fun handing out their stickers and the ones that get a sticker love to play with them in class. Which means most of the stickers end up in the trash. Anyway we will see how she does. I told her not to get her hopes up. But then again...you never know what might happen.
We have family from my husbands side of the family here. His family will be having a big get together this weekend up in Center, Texas. We won't be able to attend due to my hubby is working. Daughter dear has a party to be at. We will be having a dinner for them that way the in laws can visit. I hope all goes well. I haven't spoke to the sister in law since the first part of June due to the way she treated me with not helping out with her mother.
It's late and I'm tired so I'm off to bed. Hope you kiddos sleep well tonight.
