Well folks we were rained out. We arrived on Friday evening and set the tent up and got down to business. I slept pretty good until around midnight you could tell the weather was going to change because things felt damp and the wind was picking up. Then around 3:oo am the lightening started along with the thunder and rain. We had a steady rain until around 7:00am. Then it stopped long enough for us to get breakfast done and then the downpours started. It didn't let up until noon. We all checked our tents and everyone's stuff was soaked. Not wet. Soppy wet. With the overcast skies we knew there was no way that all the sleeping bags and pillows would dry out. The leaders decided we would pack up and go home. So we finished our missions, tyed dyed some shirts,made a trail mix and went on a hike. After our dinner we handed out the awards and went home.
I was so happy to see my house and my warm dry bed. Daughter dear was also happy to have a dry warm bed to sleep in. I now have two tons of laundry to do. Oh boy!!
