The Duggar Family Welcomes Their 17th Child
By now, they might just be getting the hang of this. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar welcomed their 17th child, a baby girl, on Thursday.
Jennifer Danielle is the latest member of the ever-growing Arkansas family, which has captured national attention in appearances on the Discovery Health Network. The baby was born at 10:01 a.m. at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rogers, Ark., and weighed in at 8 lbs. 8 oz., the Associated Press reports.
"We are so grateful to God," says Michelle Duggar, 40, in a statement. "Jennifer is so precious and beautiful and such a sweet gift." Adds her husband: "We are just so thankful to him that everything went just very well."
Jim Bob Duggar, 42, says Jennifer was born via a VBAC – or vaginal birth after Caesarean.
And the parents may not be through just yet. "We'd love to have more," Michelle says.
The Duggars' other kids (ranging from 2 to 19 and including two sets of twins) are: Joshua, 19; John David, 17; Janna, 17; Jill, 16; Jessa, 14; Jinger, 13; Joseph, 12; Josiah, 11; Joy-Anna, 9; Jedidiah, 8; Jeremiah, 8; Jason 7; James, 6; Justin, 4; Jackson, 3; Johannah, almost 2.
