I can't think of a better way to have spent my Saturday. Daughter Dear and I went on over to another town to help out with a event yesterday that honored our injured troops.The troops had a day of fishing and then they came to the Community Center for a down home Texas barbecue The link to this event is in the post below. Anyway DD and I were able to serve our troops snacks,dinner, and desert. In the beginning DD was really up set and didn't want to help out. There were a couple of troops that had severe burns and this had her upset. I told her if she would just walk up and offered them the food on the trays she would see that they were just as normal as her. I do believe she walked away with a learning experience she will never forget.
