Just checking in for now. We came out smelling like a rose. Wind was the only thing we got. It was up to 45mph when the hurricane made land fall. My parents came out good too. They lost a tree on the creek in the backyard. My oldest sister who lives in Deer Park lost two trees and my middle sister who lives in Pasadena wasn't so lucky she lost the roof on her house. She has water damage to the second story of her house. She is taking it in stride and sounded good when I spoke to her. She was waiting for a call back from the insurance company as we were speaking. So now I'm cleaning and getting ready to unpack the SUV.
I hope all is well with everyone and I'm just grateful we were spared this time around.
