Ike

As of 5:00 a.m. this is where Ike is suppose to make landfall come late Friday night or early Saturday morning. This is about 58 miles from where I live. It also puts us on the dirty side of the hurricane. Part of me would rather have a direct hit than the dirty side but hey... you deal with the cards your handed. I'm sure by late afternoon we'll have another path with Ike. He can't seem to figure out where he wants to go but that's fine with me.

We'll find out later today if DD has school tomorrow. She will be out for sure on Friday. Plans are for us as of now are.... If Ike decides to make a direct hit, DD and I will head inland to my in laws house. Yes, they live here but they live out in the country and not a block away from the bay like I do. If he hits down further we'll stay in place.I think I bought Wal Mart out the other day. I have plenty of supplies to last us a week. Yes, I'm a planner. I think being in Girl Scout and having to plan camping trips where you have to rough it has made this an easy task. Now if I can keep everyone calm around here things will work out just fine. I will keep everyone informed as I can. Mark will kick in his writing skills when I can't. I will keep him posted as things happen and he can pass along info to you folks.
