It's cold out 37 degrees. Put hurricane force winds in the mix and damn it's cold out. I would love nothing more than to crawl right back into bed and sleep the day away but work is calling.
Daughter Dear's school was in lock down mode for over three hours yesterday. She was freaked out in thinking someone was walking around campus with a gun when in fact they were doing a drug sweep. She said all she could think about was getting out of class and running for safety. I told her staying put would have been the safest place. I was a little ticked to hear they wouldn't answer their questions about what was going on. She along with her classmates had to put her cellphone on the table in view of the teacher to make sure she didn't call or text me. I have to admit I sent her a text in hope that she would respond. It went unanswered.
Hubby's place of employment is having layoffs and closings across the country. They closed down on area in the place where he works and 19 men don't know if they have a job or not. I'm a little nervous to say the least.
Well... that's about it around here....
