Projects... This weekend has been spent doing projects and I don't mean around the house projects. We're talking school projects. Argh... These teachers want things done a certain way and I have a child with a mind of her own. I told her she's not in elementary any more and you can't slop it off in hope of a good grade. So she finished her book report. Her reading teacher is a pretty neat person. When she was younger she hated your typical book reports. So she came up with many ideas for her class to do their book reports (sorry for being so vague here)anyway DD made a poster advertising her book. She did a great job if I do say so myself.
After the book project she moved on to the dreaded Science project. We got it started and have one more day of drying out the fruit before she can sit down and figure out the percentage of water in the fruit that I sliced up. Yes I said that I sliced up the fruit. Seeing my child use a knife scares me to no end. She looked like she was trying to saw through a log. I had already showed her what to do because I needed to take pictures of her slicing the fruit for her board. I ended up slicing the major part of the fruit and then posing her with knife and fruit. Fingers... we need our fingers later in life.
