It is a sad day here for Daughter Dear. Last night I had to break the news to her that Marvin Zindler passed away. For those of you who don't know who he is he was a reporter of sorts for Channel 13 in Houston. He was the one who busted the Chicken Ranch in La Grange.He is a Texas icon. Everybody knows who he was because of his trade mark white wigs, blue glasses, and fancy suits. His famous saying is "Slime in the Ice Machine". Daughter Dear looked forward to his rat and roach report every Friday evening and no matter where we were...she was in front of the tv watching his reports. Needless to say DD is upset and this morning she is even more up set with different family members calling to check on how she is doing because they all know how important he is to her. Back on the 4th of July she was asked a question by a judge in a beauty contest she was in "What would you like to be when you grow up?" Her response was " I would like to be a news anchor when I grow up but I really would like to have Marvin Zindler's job if he would ever retire."
